The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) serves a student population of over 121,000 students from Kindergarten to grade 12 in 245 schools. The CBE French immersion program is spread over 25 schools serving approximately 12,000 students. The French immersion program includes early French immersion (entry point in Kindergarten or grade 1) and late French immersion (entry point: grade 7). We also have approximately 22,000 students in French as a second language courses.
